Softball

A softball is usually neon green and has red stitching. The core of a softball is made up of cork or plastic. The small core is then tightly wrapped by pieces of strings. Around the string is the part that is visible, the neon cover with red stitches.
Sometimes their are some softballs that are old and dirty. They usually do not smell like the new smell of leather. When a brand new softball is thrown it has this non-slippery grip on it so it can be controlled easier. As softballs tend to be used more and more they become slippery. Their are many different kinds of softballs. There are some 10 inches for little girls learning how to play for the first time. This kind of softball tends to be a soft kind of ball. The next size is 11 inches which is used for rookies. The most common size is 12 inches. This size is mostly used for girls 12 and up.
The best ball tends to be the one with black marks on it from the bat, tears on it from hitting the fence, and a few brown spots from being rolled around in the dirt. Sometimes a ball ends up in the backyard, under cars, in junkyards, and most of the time in your softball bag. The softball tends to be one of the best types of balls that also sometimes tends to be misunderstood as a baseball, but it is its own type of ball and nothing like a baseball.
