Helping someone who is in serious need should be mandated and enforced by law. Picture yourself in a serious situation in which you can not help yourself. Would you want someone to help you? If I would see someone who is needed of assistance, I ask myself if I would want to be helped. Assisting someone in need should be a personal act of generosity and kindess in which you should be able to spread around your own community. In my opinion, helping someone else should be voluntary and should come from the thought of making a huge difference in other peoples' lives. However, many people consider themselves "too busy" to even help someone who is in critical need of attention. Therefore, a law should be enforced. As my illustration states, "Calling for help shouldn't be a crime." We all have the right to help other people and to support the needs of others.
