Controversial School Policy - Eating in Class

One issue that I would like to address is the no eating in class rule. I understand there are ants and other insects that would plague the classrooms, or irresponsible students that do not throw their trash away, but sometimes students are not always going to have the time to eat during school, and class would be perfect for them to get their meals in. Students on an empty stomach are usually not as focused as they are when they are full, and distracted students are not good in any situation. A lot of my teachers eat during class anyway, so I don't see why students aren't able to eat during class too!
