One policy I would like to change here at Olympian High School is to allow us to chew gum at school. I believe we should chew gum at school because it helps students focus more. Also chewing gum helps us improve memory and it relieves stress away. Not only gum benefits you in concentration; chewing sugarfree gum is healthy for your teeth. Some people may disagree with me especially teachers and principals because they think chewing gum at school will leave a mess. For example, I know we have black spots on the ground which is the cause of spitting out our gum on the floor. Another example, is that students tend to stick their gum under the desks which makes the custodian to clean it everyday. If we can improve that flaw then we should be allowed to chew gum at school. We will make sure to throw our gum in the trash can and not cause a distraction chewing gum in class. This is a policy I would like to modify at Olympian High school.
