Controversial School Policies- Byung Gwan Lim

One of the school policies that are very controversial among us the students is about the no hat policy. Everyday, I always see a guy getting his hat taken away for wearing his hat. I mean, I see no reason why to not wear hats. A hat is a fashion accesory designated to keep you out of the sun which is very harmful in long term expusures. So, I am kind of puzzled why the district would not let us wear a clothing item so benefitial to you. They say that if you wear a hat, then identification of the students is hard but you could easily identify someone with a hat on unless they have a ski mask that covers their whole entire face. Also they say that wearing a hat is banned because they supposively say it has to do with gangs and drugs. They are basically saying that the Chargers, Yankees you name it, are a bunch of gang/drug based organization. Which is not true at all, there is nothing in supporting your favorite clothing company or baseball or football team.
