A Good Samaritan is a person who comes across someone in need and helps him or her without expecting anything in return. A few years back my uncle was laid off from work and could not afford to buy Christmas presents for my cousins. Then my mom suggested that I should give some of my nice video games to my cousins. I thought about it and felt in my heart that it would be something very nice to do for them. My parents then mentioned that they would buy the same game because they knew that I loved it but I said no. I realized that giving away something of great value to someone will teach me to appreciate what I have. In a way I was already being a Good Samaritan without not even realizing it and as I saw the look of happiness in their faces I felt a great joy. At this very moment they still think that Santa is the one that brought them those video games.
