For many people acting as a Good Samaritan is as common as holding the door open for someone caryying an overflowing amount of things or picking something up that someone has dropped. Although those courteous actions may be an aberration for others, it isn't for me, as I try to abet others in need when ever possible. However, the most accentuating Good Samaritan acts I have done in my life were most recently-the fourth week of June 2011. During that time I spent an entire week in Managua, Nicaragua with an organization called Convoy of Hope doing absolutely nothing, but abetting others. To illustrate, from day 1-day 5, the only thing our entire group did was repaint the first and secondary school that was financially needy, from inside and out in blistering temperatures of 94 degrees F and in 98% humidity weather. Then, day 6 was entirely dedicated to making food packages that totaled up to 996 bags at the end of the day. Lastly, on day 7 our group passed out the food packages to the thousands of families who were all malnutritioned waiting in the extremely long lines for the food bags. This moment will always stand out in my life because as I was passing out the food packages I saw hopefulness and life spark into their eyes, because with out the food they propably wouldnt have eaten absolutely anything for days if not weeks.
