A good Samaritan is a person who helps someone in need voluntarily. Now should we be mandated by law to be good Samaritans? Passing a law that forces people to help others in need should not be done because helping others should be done by the kindness of peoples hearts. Being a good Samaritan means you should not have to be forced to help others but that you do it because you want to. Also, this law would annoy the heck out of people who are not good Samaritans and are in a hurry. Making a law, you should think if it would be the best for everyone. You should also think if the law would make things better or worse. Passing this law could actually worsen things. Suppose the law was passed and there was a person in need in the middle of a huge crowed. The crowed would come rushing to help that one person because they were obligated to by law. Things would get chaotic with all the people rushing to help and it may be too late before any real help reaches the person. It would be better if the law was not passed and if someone would help the one in need. The good Samaritan who helped would then have a great feeling in their hearts for helping someone and not being forced to do it.
