controversal school policy

One of the olympian's school policy is that  students may wear hats ONLY if it has an olympian logo on it. Also students are not allowed to wear shirts that have a certain phrase or message on it. For instance there may be gang signs, unappropirate langauge, or even a simple go green t- shirt that sends out a message. Although some of these messages are not appropriate in school, students deserve the right to express themselves.
I disagree with the fact that olympian high school students are only allowed to wear hats with the school's logo on it. I disagree because students should allow themselves to exprees themsleves in any way that shows who they are. It might be as simple as a pardres hat. Same thing goes with the messages on the shirts, I understand that all messgaes are not good but students al least deserve a chance to explain themselves. The  message for all we care might be even taken the wrong way, or seen in different perspectives.
