Good Samaritan Law - Janelle Delosreyes

A Good Samaritan is a person who voluntarily helps someone in need. It would be unreasonable to mandate a law forcing people to act as "Good Samaritans" if they do not want to. It would defeat the meaning because it is forced, and not voluntary. Instead of making it a law, we should encourage people to do a good deed and help others when it is needed. This would increase Good Samaritan acts because they will feel rewarded and gain respect from others. To force someone to do a good deed would never make them a Good Samaritan -- performing random acts of kindness should be voluntary, and no one should feel obligated to do something they are not willing to do.
