It seemed like a pretty ordinary Thursday afternoon; I was in the kitchen finding something to eat when I heard the tv in the living room suddenly shut off and the electric fan slowly coming to a stop. At that moment, I knew there was a black out, however I did not know how severe it was. The power outage stretched from San Diego to Orange County and even cities in Arizona and Mexico. Knowing there was a black out did not really affect me, since I do not depend on electricity too much. My brother, who spends more time with his PS3 than with our family, actually came downstairs and hung out with my sister and I, which I really enjoyed. That evening my family illuminated our home with many candles and we ate all the ice cream from the powerless freezer. In addition to the pretty lights and the yummy ice cream, the Sweetwater Union High School District called announcing school being cancelled for the day. Overall, I really enjoyed the black out and I think San Diego gained a lot out of it.
Oh my god, I was looking for that picture! (x
