Plagiarism is copying someone else's work and claiming it as your own. Students should not plagiarize because the student will not get a complete understanding of the topic at hand. Second, students should not plagiarize because rather than just getting a zero on the assignment for plagiarism, in college the student will be expelled immediately and will gain a terrible reputation towards other universities, therefore making it almost impossible to be accepted into another school. And finally, students should never plagiarize because it can lead to a bad reputation to another student if someone copies his/her work because it causes a teacher to lose respect for the student that let another peer copy their work.
