Dear Mr. Schwinn,
It has recently come to my attention that you'd like to mandate a good samaritan law requiring citizens to help in emergency situations. I do not believe that this law should be passed.
The law should not be passed because it is too dangerous for everyone. Not only can the good samaritan trying to help the victim get injured as well, they can actually make the situation worse by hurting the victim more. With that happening, the good samaritan can be sued for large amounts of money that they may or may not be able too afford by the victim. Another reason to not pass the law is that in older days, you didn't have to worry if someone was going to trick you into thinking they're hurt and then mug you, now-a-days you actually have to be really careful with that. People should do the good deed out of their kindness, not because they are forced to do it.
