Today, many schools and teachers are faced with the similar problem that persists in its diffusion across the world-plagiarism. Plagiarism is defined as taking away someone elses ideas bereft giving them recognition. Causes of plagiarism are associated with laziness, and the readily accesible use of technology. When students commit plagiarism, whether in school or in a work setting, their lives are dramatically changed. For example, many students face suspension and often get expelled, and professionals can get fired from their occupations or even be taken to court. As a result, many universities and jobs will not accept and hire individuals who plagerize as their offense stays with them forever on their permanent record. All in all, not only does plagiarism affect the opportunties that a person can have, but it also affects the individual who commits it as they are not performing to their full potential but are rather stealing someone elses ideas.
