Huricane Irene -Byung Gwan Lim

For the last few weeks, the huricane Irene has struck the east coast really hard. Winds that damage houses, massive rains that floodes the houses... it was chaotic. I was really shocked when I saw hurricane Irene and what has that hurricane done in the east coast. I really wondered, can't these forces of nature be stopped so lives are saved? did people even evacuate when they heard that a hurricane was coming? Anyways on the news, I saw that there was 8 confirmed deaths and there were still some unconfirmed deaths. Also there are 2 million people without electricity and water. Right now, the east coast is in its recovering proccess.
