September 8th, thursday of 2011, something unusual in the whole San Diego county happened that lead to people thinking of a lot of possibilities of what happened. The Blackout. The San Diego blackout happened approximately at 3:30pm, the time when the students just or were still coming home from school. The blackout brought many questions to us. Was it a terrorist attack? Was there a sabotage? Is it 9-11 all over again except in California? It wasn't a terrorist attack. A FBI agent informed the people over 93.3 that this was not a terrorist attack or any kind of sabotage. Ok, changing of topics, during the blackout, in my neighborhood, it was very loud. It turned out that most of my neighbors children were freaking out about the whole blackout. When it turned dark, in my house, the only source of light was this small candle that I didn't know where it came from. Through my window, strong luminous light was constantly flashing. It turns out that the children outside where flashing their flashrights and they wer playing laser tag. Last weeks blackout made me think, human beings nowadays will not survive for long if there is no electriciy. Us human beings we are too dependent on electricity, I really wanted to go crazy when I couldn't get on the internet to see what was going on. I was stuck to the radio and my cellphone the whole blackout. We are just too used to electricity in our daily lives that we forget what is out in the nature, social and etc. The stars on that day were more visible then usual, which made a great view.
