Blackout - Christian Imperio

Last weeks blackout had a big impact on my family. We did not even expect the blackout. Once I got home i was warming up chicken nuggets , then the power went out. My dad thought the breaker had turned off but we realized no one had power in San Diego. We were scared that we might not have enough water and candles. We drove around town to see if any store were open but they were all closed. I was really scared because my grandma had gone out and the phone lines were closed because they were using airlines for emergency calls so we could not find her. But around 10 o clock. She finally called and she was staying at her friends house. At the end of the day we prayed that the power would come back before the following day, then we went to sleep. I was glad the power came back the next morning. Our dependency on power is pretty good because they were able to get the power back really fast and this was our first major blackout so its been good for a long time and hope it will be for much more longer without another frightning blackout.
