Dear Congressman Hemingway:

A controversial new idea, known as the “Good Samaritan Law”, should not be accepted as a new law.

If you force a group of people to do something, eventually some of them will ignore or protest the idea. If you were to implement this idea on the people of California, they would most likely protest the notion. Not only that, but people already help people in need, they don’t need a law to force them. This idea should be just that, an idea, not a law to be forced upon people.

Thank you for your time in reading this statement, I hope you take it into consideration.

Sincerely,

Damien Martinez
