Hurricane Irene - Arvin Dagoc


Hurricane Irene, the most recent hurricane that was just from a few days ago, was not as damageing as Hurricane Katrina but still caused damage. This 85 mph hurricane caused about 12 billion dollars worth of damage. It caused many to evacuate their houses to seek for shelter. It flooded the east coast about 24 feet and caused at least 55 deaths. In the eleven states it hit, the hurricane caused power outages and mass transit shutdowns. This hurricane just ended about 3 days ago.
