Blackout

Last Thursday there was a major blackout throughout San Diego and parts around it. The blackout lasted till the middle of the night of that day. For some people, it may have been terrible crisis without technology. For me, i had a great experience and had a great time with my family. I ended up going to my aunties to have a barbeque. After we ate, we went out and took a walk to enjoy the night. Since the lights were out, you could see the beautiful stars, and luckily, there was a full moon that shined so bright that you could see in the dark. The Blackout made our community talk with one another a lot more. Neighbors invited others to a barbeque, kids went out to play, and families had more family time. Even though blackouts are bad, i wish we could have another one, because it made me realize that technology takes us away from the world. People say we can't survive without technology, but the fact is, that it is good to get away from technology once in a while and enjoy the world we have. It also was fun and i didn't have to do homework that night.
