Plagiarism- Arvin Dagoc

Plagiarism is when someone copies another person’s work exactly, without giving that person credit. Although some think it will make things easier, plagiarizing is not a very wise thing to do. It is not acceptable in school, college, or in life and it has punishments for doing it. Students should not plagiarize because besides getting in trouble, the student will not learn anything due to taking a shortcut by copying. Plagiarism may not have as big a consequence as a young kid but as students get older and get to adulthood, the consequences get worse. It can lead to suspension or expulsion from college. If someone gets expelled from a college, the chance of getting accepted to another college would lower because of the record of that person being expelled. Plagiarism could also lead to more serious punishments like jail. Overall, plagiarism might seem like the way to go for some, but it will not be worth it in the long run.
