Last week, there was a blackout throughout San Diego and it was a surprise to everyone. When it was dark, my family used a flashlight and candles to see in the dark. We saw many people with lightsabers and other types of lights. Our lives circle around the dependednce on electricity because we live in that type of society. I felt that it was a shocking surprise when the power went out. It felt a little better to use that time to enjoy some with my family. We use electronics everyday and we soon start to depend on them, but we can survive without it it as long as we have a good, friendly community.
