Hurricane Irene - Regine Dionisio

Hurrican Irene is the most recent hurricane that has hit the United States. Hurricane Irene has affected the states from Florida all the way to New England and as inland as the state of Pennsylvania. Power outage has been a major problem to those hit by this hurricane. Homes and businesses still did not have power even three days after the disaster. There has also been major flooding and destroyed property. The damage that Hurricane Irene has done has cost the United States about $7 billion in damages and a continuously rising death toll of 45 people. There has also been an effect on the Caribbean and Canada. This was labeled as a category 1 hurricane, but people have predicted this hurricane to be much worse than it was.
