The past 2 weeks have been exciting and fun. Throughout each day I began to responsibly grow into a more mature young adult.
A week ago my cousin and her three kids visited from Arizona to see the marvelous landmarks in San Diego. While they stayed here for a few days my baby niece and my two small nephews made a mess and jumped around the house none stop. It was DISASTROUS! I knew I had to get my act together and become a more responsible aunt by stepping up to the plate and getting the kids to know who's in control than to be a weak and quiet person standing in the background letting them do whatever they want. So one day I stood up and showed them who they were messing with. The way I calmed them down was to just politely say no and send them off with their parents and if they did not listen I would just grab them and sit them with me waiting until they cooled off. I finally was able to accomplish this obstacle and was able to relax throughout the few days I had left.
As a person it has helped me in many ways for the future and the present. It has showed me how to become a leader and know when to step up when it is needed. It has also shown me how to become a more confident person and to grow into something big. This will also help me in the future in so many ways. Not only did I stop the kids to control but also made everyone around feel comfortable knowing that the kids are able to stop when someone says so. I feel as if I have grown into a tall tree where I am able to stand tall and feel confident for many years to come.
