The main plot of the play,"The Tragedy of Julius Caesar", describes Julius Caesar's rise to power and what his peers act and say about it.His new popurlarity gained many conspiritors, one of the most important was Cassius.Cassius was a very ruthless and lean man, he was not as open to Caesar's ideas as everyone else. His intelligence, and observant charachteristics, made him realize Caesar was not as powerful as he seemed, making his ambition to eliminate Caesar even stronger. To accomplish his goal Cassius decides to deceive his friends by convincing them that Caesar had no more power than they did.For example In Act 1 Scene 2 Line 95, Cassius trys to break the bond of Brutus and Caesar and ultimately persuading Brutus to turn against him. This just illustrates the type of character Cassius was, he was clever and sneaky, manipulating his surroundings to accomplish his one goal, eliminating Julius Caesar.
