Brutus Character-Nicole Provins

Brutus is a loving friend to Julius Caesar, he is honest and admirable. He is also patriotic, in Act 1 Scene 2 he was being manipulated by Cassius about if he could see himself and Cassius offers to be his mirror to see who he really is. Cassius also questions Brutus that Caesar should not be king, but Brutus loves Caesar as a close friend. Brutus fears that Caesar should not be king because he loves honor and does not fear death. He is struggling about his concern for Rome and opposing his best friend Caesar about becoming king of Rome. So far in "The Tragedy of Julius Caesar," Cassius is trying to turn Brutus against Julius Caesar by manipulating Brutus's weak spots such as his honor for Rome and his love for his best friend Caesar.
